Marketing In YouTube…
From my experience with using YouTube there are quite a few ways it uses marketing. From In-stream ads. The skippable or non-skippable commercials that play before, during, or after a video. Then you have bumper ads. Short, unskippable 6-second ads designed for quick brand awareness. Also the shorts ads. Vertical, swipable ads that appear seamlessly between user-generated YouTube Shorts. Finally you have pause ads. Static or interactive ads that appear on the screen when a user pauses a video.
Creator-Led Influencer Marketing!

This marketing is baked directly into the video content by the creators themselves, leveraging the trust they have built with their audience. You have host-read sponsorships. Segments where the creator pauses their video to pitch a product or service using a custom discount code. You may also see product integrations. Subtler placements where a brand’s product is naturally used or displayed throughout the video. For example a tech reviewer using a specific monitor or a chef using a specific brand of knife. Lastly affiliate marketing. Creators placing tracked links in their video descriptions or pinned comments, earning a commission on any sales generated.
Organic Inbound Marketing!
Brands use YouTube as a search engine (the second largest in the world) to pull in customers who are actively looking for solutions. Educational content and tutorials. Companies create “how-to” videos or explainer guides that solve a user’s problem while positioning their software or product as the ideal tool. There’s also product reviews and unboxings. Third-party or brand-created videos that detail the specs, pros, and cons of physical goods to capture high-intent buyers. Oh! Then you also have YouTube SEO optimization. Marketers strategically optimize video titles, descriptions, and tags so their brand’s content ranks at the top of both YouTube and Google search results.
My Thoughts on Using YouTube

Back when I was in high school I loved using YouTube to make live streams. I might have done it for maybe two to three years. But as I was getting older the fun started to get away from me. I would use the live streaming to play my video games and share with others on how I play and enjoy them. As I said though as I got older I started to lose the love for live streaming. Maybe one day I will go back.
Now I mainly use YouTube as background sounds while working on my PC or look up how to videos or education help videos for school work. Like I explained above there are so many ways to make money on YouTube I am sure I missed a few but that’s ok. I hope one day to get back into the streaming so that way I can market something of my own or help others get their product out. Only time will tell…
